Flagstaff Micro Lite by Forrest River
My wife and I are in our late 50’s but no where near 60. She has a lot of food allergies and we both like a bit of adventure. The challenge is that when we do travel we have to take coolers of specialized food or special preparation equipment for her to eat without the fear of cross contamination. When we do go out to dinner she just sits across from me and watches me eat….no fun for either of us. It occurred to us that perhaps it would be better to just take our kitchen with us so the idea of RV shopping came about.
After about a year of research: class A, Class B, Class C or Class Z……we finally settled on a little 21 foot Flagstaff Micro Lite travel trailer by Forrest River. Since I’ve not been in the habit of towing things some of those 30 footers looked like I would be driving a train and to be honest intimidated me a bit. This seemed like a nice compromise and with the murphy bed arrangement this felt like a perfect amount of space to be chasing my truck around as we travel.
Bride did a lot of research on line and she found what we wanted at a local RV dealership in Poulsbo WA. We went down for a visit and decided to move forward with the purchase. While I felt like we got a fair price little did I know that the purchase price of the unit was only a start. Over the coming months I often felt like I was being twenty dollared to death, all the little gadgets you need to set up shop. Its like outfitting a dorm room for darn sakes. Here is a link to a list of the things that we purchased….to make a life a little easier, funner or more organized.
In this blog I’ll share our adventures, the stuff we buy, where we go camping, what works and what does not work. Buy purchasing some of your RV gadgets, tools and equipment through this site you will be helping to feed Rover…..yes we named it so I suppose we have to keep it now.
